Diffraction pattern of a penrose tiling

A penrose tile (γ = 0.5) was printed on a transparency.
The resolution of the monochrome lazer printer is 1200 x 1200 dpi.

The diffraction pattern was generated by a green lazer beam(< 1 mW) passed through the tiling on the sheet.
The distance between the sheet and the screen was about 7 meters.
10-fold symmetry was confirmed.
